Biography

Dan Blum is Principal Consultant at Security Architects Partners and Senior Analyst at KuppingerCole – is an internationally-recognized expert in security, privacy, cloud computing and identity management. Currently, he develops Security Architects Partners’ business relationships, delivers or leads consulting engagements and creates content for research reports. Formerly, he was a Golden Quill award-winning VP and Distinguished Analyst at Gartner and one of the founding partners of Burton Group. He has led or contributed to projects such as:

  • Global data-at-rest encryption and key management strategy for a Global 1000 client
  • Cloud security and privacy assessment for a global pharmaceutical company with a global customer base
  • Privileged access management (PAM) architecture review for a large European bank
  • Full security assessment for a large U.S. health care network following negative audit results
